Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using Kovr, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

Kovr is an endurance athlete coaching application that reads health and fitness data from Apple HealthKit and provides training and nutrition coaching using a combination of deterministic physiology algorithms and AI-generated responses.

Kovr is a coaching tool, not a medical device. The information provided by Kovr is for general fitness and training purposes only. It is not medical advice, does not constitute a diagnosis, and should not replace the advice of a qualified health professional. Always consult a doctor before beginning a new exercise programme or making significant changes to your diet.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Kovr
• By using Kovr, you represent that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction
• If you are under 18, you should use Kovr only with parental consent

3. Account and subscription

Kovr is available via a free trial followed by a paid subscription:

• Free trial: 7 days with limited features as described in the app
• Paid subscription: Monthly or annual plans as priced in the App Store
• Subscriptions are managed through Apple In-App Purchase
• Billing, cancellation, and refunds are subject to Apple’s terms
• You may cancel your subscription at any time via your Apple ID settings

4. Your data and HealthKit

Kovr requests access to Apple HealthKit to read health and fitness data. You control this access at all times via iOS Settings. By granting access, you authorise Kovr to read and process the specified data types to provide coaching features.

HealthKit data is used solely to provide the coaching service. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose other than coaching. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

5. AI coaching

Kovr uses Anthropic’s Claude API to generate coaching responses. AI-generated content:

• Is based on the data you provide and generalised fitness science
• May not account for your individual medical history or conditions
• Should not be treated as medical or clinical advice
• May occasionally be inaccurate — exercise your own judgement

We apply a deterministic physiology engine to ground AI responses in cited science, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy or appropriateness of every coaching response for your individual circumstances.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable law
• Share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent trial limits
• Attempt to manipulate the coaching engine by entering false health data
• Use the service for any commercial purpose without our written consent

Kovr is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The HRV-based coaching, nutrition targets, and training load calculations are provided for general fitness guidance only and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.

If you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, or any other concerning symptom during exercise, stop immediately and seek medical attention. Do not use Kovr as a substitute for professional medical assessment.

9. Limitation of liability

• Any injury, illness, or harm resulting from following coaching recommendations
• Loss or corruption of health or fitness data
• Inaccuracies in AI-generated coaching responses
• Interruptions to the service
• Any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Kovr if you breach these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Queensland courts.
